Website terms

What the prices on this site mean, what a page can and cannot tell you about your own wiring, and the terms that apply to using the site itself.

01

Using this site

By reading these pages you accept the terms below. They cover the website only. The work itself is governed by the quote and the terms of trade you are given before anybody starts, and where the two disagree, the quote wins.

02

About the prices

We publish price bands because vagueness helps nobody, but a band is not a quote. It is what that job usually costs in a standard home in our service area, at the time of writing, and it can move once someone has actually looked.

The number that binds us is the fixed price agreed with you before a tool comes out. That price is confirmed in writing, and it does not change unless you approve extra work — in which case we stop, tell you the new figure, and wait for a yes.

03

This is general information, not a diagnosis

The symptoms, causes and 'what to do before we arrive' notes on this site are written to help you describe a fault over the phone and stay safe until somebody gets there. They are not an assessment of your installation, and no page can be.

Electrical work in Western Australia must be carried out by a licensed electrical worker under a licensed electrical contractor. Nothing here is an invitation to open a switchboard, remove a cover plate or work on your own wiring. If something is arcing, smoking, burning or wet, turn the power off at the main switch if it is safe to do so and ring us.

04

Response times and availability

Response times quoted on this site are typical, not guaranteed. They depend on where you are, what is already on the board that day, and how many genuine emergencies are ahead of you. We will always tell you an honest window when you ring, and we will tell you if it moves.

05

Accuracy

We keep this site current and correct as far as we reasonably can, but we do not warrant that every page is complete or up to date at every moment. Standards change, and so do prices. Ring if something matters to a decision you are making.

08

Consumer guarantees

Nothing on this site limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our work comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded, including that services are provided with due care and skill and that goods are of acceptable quality.

09

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, and the courts of Western Australia have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
